Annual Hikes

Annual hikes are a long-standing and treasured tradition at Abbotsholme, reflecting our deep connection to the outdoors and the spirit of our school. It is a time of year which offers opportunities for personal growth, fostering new friendships and strengthening our sense of community.

Each October, our school takes a break from the regular curriculum for three days (or two days for Prep School) to embark on annual hikes. Pupils, alongside teaching staff, tackle a variety of hiking routes across the UK, exploring some of the country’s most renowned walking destinations, including the Peak District, Yorkshire Dales, Snowdonia and the Lake District. During this time, our Pre-Prep pupils engage in extended walks and activities on the school estate.
